Waterscape Owner that rents direct

Hi Y'all! I'm Danica.

Hi! Thanks for visiting my page. I am Danica Connell, the owner, and the person you’ll reach when you make contact. My family and I are from Alabaster, AL, though I’ve transitioned to Fort Walton Beach to manage my rental operations. My husband, Dan, holds down the home front and will be joining me here soon. We have two daughters with "Dan" names too. We call ourselves the "Dan Clan.” Our setup is a little untraditional, but it works for us.

Our journey with Waterscape started when we bought our first condo in 2012. It wasn’t easy to pull off financially (we were barely 30!). We reinvested all our profits, and in less than a decade, we ended up with 4 condos in the resort. In 2020, when the world hit a pause due to Covid, I found myself with extra time and took on managing another owner’s property. That quickly grew—9 units, then 13...21...25... and today, I manage around 30 with the brakes on. I worked incredibly hard to get here, and I’m still working hard today. I was able to leave the corporate world, retiring my structural engineering license to run my beach gig full-time. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Waterscape is my primary focus, though I have also added some personal properties to my fleet: a pet friendly house on the bay (The Bay House), and some cute little cottages downtown (Camp Brooks). As a property manager for other owners, I only take units at Waterscape. I strive to create memorable experiences for my guests. I am your personal concierge, your grocery shopper, and the solver of all your problems. I will answer when you need me. No exceptions.

Recently, I also became a real estate agent. Many visitors fall in love with this area and want to buy, so instead of referring them out, I decided to help them myself. If you’re considering an investment property, a vacation home, or a permanent move, I’d love to assist. I just LOVE it here, and I love helping others reach their dreams as I have. My Real Estate website is Get On The Coast.

I LOVE biking at the beach. I bike on Okaloosa Island (where the condos are located), Navarre Beach (west), and 30-A (east). 30-A is the best biking on the coast...the bike path is about 18 miles (one way) straight down the beach, and you can stop frequently at the local shops and eateries (ice cream, people!). It sounds like a long way, but it is super relaxing and fun, and very easy biking. Remember the coastline is all flat. I typically save the 40 miles trips for Spring and Fall, because the summer sun can beat you down. If I am not working or biking, your best chances of finding me are running, or somewhere on a dance floor. Gotta stay in shape...swimsuit season here is year round. Haha!

I genuinely enjoy helping people make the most of their time at Waterscape, so if you have any questions, feel free to Contact Me. Also, be sure to follow me on Facebook. I post about many topics...fun things to do, all about Waterscape, working here, and the beach life in general. The page is Waterscape Rentals by Owner.
